What was the world's first double grand slam?
Most baseball players will always remember when they hit their first Grand Slam. But there is one player that will go down in history not for just one of his Grand Slams, but for two. It was May 24, 1936 when Tony Lazzeri, second baseman for the New York Yankees, hit two Grand Slams in one game. Even today, only eleven other players have been successful at this monumental achievement. They are: Jim Tabor, Rudy York, Jim Gentile, Jim Northrup, Frank Robinson, Robin Ventura, Chris Hoiles, Nomar Garciaparra, Bill Mueller, Tony Cloninger, and Fernando Tatis.
